The making of candler james



 

We first worked together in college at a boutique, which eventually grew into a friendship and later a creative partnership! Over the years, we each built our own paths in photography and videography, only to realize how naturally our work complements one another when we’re together. We also had the joy of experiencing our own bridal seasons at the same exact time, which has given us a deeper understanding of the full experience: the beauty, the emotion, the stress, and all the in-between moments no one talks about. Madi had a large, full-day wedding in the fall of 2025, while Caree eloped in Jamaica in the spring of 2025  with just a few family members. Lucky for our clients, we have personal experiences with both options!



We created this business with one goal in mind: to create an experience that feels as meaningful as the memories you’re making. From the moment you inquire to the day you receive your gallery and film, every detail is designed to feel seamless, intentional, and deeply personal. By offering photography and videography as one unified team, we’re able to move through your wedding day with a shared vision of anticipating moments, working in perfect rhythm, and allowing you to stay fully present. Our hope is that you’ll never feel like you’re being pulled in different directions, but instead feel cared for, celebrated, and free to soak in every moment while we document it.
